…Promises Better Experiences For Investors, Customers

TAJBank Limited, Nigeria’s leading non-interest banking services provider, on Wednesday again confirmed that it had met the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN’s) N20 billion new minimum capital requirements for national non-interest banks with March 2026 set as enforcement deadline by the monetary authorities.

In a Note circulated to its customers and other stakeholders expressing the board and management’s appreciation to them for facilitating the recapitalization feat, TAJBank assured that surpassing the N20 billion threshold set for national non-interest banks would strongly position its financial inclusion drive, enable it to further support large-scale economic growth whilst delivering innovative financial solutions.

It maintained that by entering this new era of strengthened resilience, its commitment remains the same and commended the customers, investors and other stakeholders “for being part of our success story.”

It would be recalled that TAJBank’s Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Hamid Joda, had earlier confirmed the non-interest lender’s surpassing the CBN’s capital base requirement in September 2025 during an interactive chat with journalists, noting then that the achievement reflects the growing confidence of investors and customers in the bank’s long term growth strategy to continually provide innovative and world class Shariah-compliant services and products for the bank’s growing customers as a way of adding value to the nation’s socioeconomic development drive.

The banker clarified: “By all standards, the initiative will reposition Nigerian banks for competitiveness in the rapidly changing global banking space. I want to assure all our shareholders, new investors and customers that TAJBank will continue to prioritise their interests in our operations in the management’s sustained drive to add value to every kobo invested in the bank,” he stated.

“As our mantra says, our only interest is our customers. We shall be investing more in technological assets, solutions and our human resource to surpass customers, shareholders and investors’ expectations through real time delivery of world class and Shari’ah compliant financial solutions”, Joda added.

Financial experts believe that with the stronger capital base of TAJBank now it will further consolidate its leadership in the nation’s non-interest banking space with the attendant positive implications for its customers, shareholders and Nigeria’s sustainable development.
