The Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Dr. Zacch Adedeji, has inaugurated FIRS Sub-Technical Committee on Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) in furtherance of the Service’s drive for stronger collaboration with relevant agencies to the fulfillment of its mandate.
The Sub-Technical Committee, whose membership comprised members from both RMAFC and FIRS and is expected to enhance technical cooperation, promote data sharing, and improve operational alignment between the two agencies.
The initiative was undertaken on Tuesday when the tax administrator hosted a delegation from the Internal Revenue Monitoring Committee (IRMC) of the commission at the FIRS’ headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking during his interactive meeting with the RMAFC’ team, Adedeji emphasized the critical importance of sustained collaboration between RMAFC and revenue agency, noting that such synergy will strengthen Nigeria’s revenue generation framework and by extension, boost the nation’s economy.

He said: “As revenue-generating institutions, our shared responsibility is to ensure optimal revenue performance for national development. This partnership is essential to aligning our strategies and closing existing gaps.”
According to him, the visit by the IRMC delegation underscores ongoing efforts to promote accountability, transparency, and efficiency in revenue monitoring and mobilization across all levels of government by the revenue service and the commission.
