WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and other platforms came on stream as communication channels late Monday after over 8 hours of hitches in their operations on Monday.
The online platforms, especially Facebook and Instagram, recovered from the technological hitches Monday night around 11pm Nigerian time.
Confirming its recovery, the official Facebook Twitter feed announced: “To the huge community of people and businesses around the world who depend on us: we’re sorry.
We’ve been working hard to restore access to our apps and services and are happy to report they are coming back online now. Thank you for bearing with us.”
Facebook spokesman, Andy Stone, also tweeted an apology, adding that he is “happy to report [Facebook’s services] are coming back online now.”
