Nigeria’s Inflation Rate Hits 11.28% In November

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Friday reported that Nigeria’s Consumer Price Index (CPI), which measures inflation rose to 11.28 percent year-on-year in November, up from the 11.26 percent recorded in October.

The Bureau, in its “CPI and Inflation Report’’ for November, indicated that the figure was 0.02 percent points higher than the rate recorded in the previous month.

According to the agency, when analysed on a month-on-month basis, the headline index increased by 0.80 per cent in the month under review by 0.06 percent points from the rate 0.74 percent recorded in the preceding month

It stated further that increases were recorded in all Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose (COICOP divisions that yielded the Headline index.
