The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has published, in exercise of its functions under the Nigerian Communications Act 2003, three draft regulatory instruments on its website- www.ncc.gov.ng – for stakeholders’ comments.
A statement issued on the commission’s latest regulatory initiative signed by the Director, Public Affairs, Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde, listed the instruments as the Registration of Telephone Subscribers Regulations; SIM Replacement Guidelines; and Spectrum Trading Guidelines
According to him, in accordance with Section 57 of the Act, public inquiries in respect of the draft regulatory instruments have been scheduled to hold virtually at 11.00am on the specified dates.
Specifically, the commission has scheduled the public inquiries on the three instruments, namely Registration of Telephone Subscribers Regulations; SIM Replacement Guidelines; and Spectrum Trading Guidelines for Tuesday, October 5, 2021.
It, therefore, advised interested stakeholders to make written submissions on the subject and participate in the public inquiries, promising that details of the virtual meeting will be forwarded to interested attendees prior to the public inquiries.
The commission further stated that all submissions must reach the Commission on or before Friday, September 24, 2021 and should be addressed to the Executive Vice Chairman
