The Executive Vice Chairman of Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr Aminu Maida, and recently played host to the management of the Chief Executive Officer of National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Khalil Halilu, have opened discussions on adoptable strategies to fast-track ongoing initiatives targeted at fully digitalizing the nation’s economy.
The duo discussed how to align NASENI and NCC’s initiatives for a strong digital and manufacturing ecosystem when the NASENI’s boss recently led his team on a courtesy visit to Maida at the NCC headquarters in Abuja.
In his remarks, Halilu described the discussion as a key step in positioning Nigeria as a tech leader in Africa and expressed his appreciation to the EVC for the warm reception and insightful engagement with him during the visit by the NASENI’s team.
Speaking on the meeting, the NCC’s boss enthused: “It was a pleasure to host you at the Nigerian Communications Commission and learn about NASENI innovative advances in technology and commercialization.
“We look forward to collaborating, especially in promoting renewable energy for telecommunications and the local manufacturing of affordable smartphones for our growing population,” Maida added.
