NCC, CIBN Synergize To Enhance Banking Communication, Settlement Services

The Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on Tuesday hosted a high-level delegation from the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) to explore opportunities of strengthening the collaboration between the Institute and the commission for enhanced communications in the banking industry.

The meeting, which is part of the EVC’s vision of fostering cooperation between the NCC and financial institutions and was held at the NCC headquarters, focused on enhancing the collaboration of the professional body and the telecom industry regulatory commission in key areas such as interbank settlement and improving communication support services.

The discussions at the parley highlighted the importance of effective communication and efficient banking operations as vital components for advancing the country’s financial landscape.

Analysts believe that the NCC and CIBN’s collaboration will significantly improve the banking sector’s operations, ensuring that both entities work together to address challenges and leverage opportunities within the financial system for the benefit of the Nigerian economy.
