Minister, Others Celebrate Dr. Ahmad On Professorial Ranking

The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, and the entire staff of the Federal Ministry of Education have congratulated the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad, on her promotion to the rank of Professor of Science Education by the Management of Bayero University, Kano (BUK).

The management of the university had last Friday approved Ahmad’s elevation, describing it as a testament to her unparalleled dedication to academic excellence and her significant contributions to the advancement of science education in Nigeria and beyond.

According to a statement issued by Director, Press & Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, Mrs. Folasade Boriowo, Ahmad’s promotion to professorial rank not only highlights her exceptional scholar and leadership but also brings pride and recognition to the feminine gender. This remarkable achievement stands as a beacon of inspiration for women in academia, affirming their capacity to break barriers and reach greater heights.

Speaking on the feat, the minister described the achievement as “a reflection of Professor Ahmad’s unwavering commitment to the pursuit of knowledge and her exemplary service to education at both national and global levels.”

Alausa further expressed confidence that this recognition would boost her efforts in driving impactful policies and initiatives for the sector.

In his remarks, the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Sani-Gwarzo, also commended Ahmad for her dedication, noting that her promotion is a fitting acknowledgment of her invaluable contributions to the development of science education in Nigeria.
