The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (EVC/CEO) of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Dr. Aminu Maida, and the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoSF), Didi Esther Walson-Jack, have agreed to champion a common cause aimed at enhancing service delivery across government ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) in the country.
The high-level discussion, which was held when the NCC’s boss paid courtesy visit to the HoSF in her office on Wednesday, focused on areas of shared interest between the NCC and the federal civil service, for the purpose of strengthening institutional collaboration and enhancing service delivery by the MDAs through the deployment of techno solutions.
Speaking during the visit, Maida restated the NCC’s commitment to supporting government institutions with world-class telecommunications infrastructure and regulatory frameworks that will enhance service delivery in the public service.
According to him, strengthening collaboration between the NCC and the Office of the Head of Civil Service has the potential of accelerating the adoption of digital tools and solutions across MDAs, thereby improving transparency, productivity, and responsiveness in governance.

In her remarks, Walson-Jack thanked the NCC’s team on the visit and highlighted the importance of digitalization in modern public administration.
According to her, the ongoing reforms in the civil service is aimed at integrating technology into administrative processes, adding that partnership with key regulatory commissions and agencies such as the NCC is critical to achieving the desired sustainable transformation of the public service.
She reiterated her office’s commitment to leveraging technology to create a more efficient, accountable, transparent and citizen-focused civil service for Nigeria’s development in line with global best practices.
