…Urge Governor On Speedy Completion Of Work
Residents of the Magboro–Makogi community in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area have commended the Ogun State Government for the ongoing construction of the 8.17-kilometre Magboro–Makogi Road, describing the project as a major step toward improving mobility and boosting socio-economic activities in the area.
During an inspection tour on Wednesday, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, said the project formed part of the state government’s broader commitment to expanding durable infrastructure across Ogun.
Some of the residents, who spoke during the visit, expressed satisfaction with the quality and standard of work, noting that the road, upon completion, will ease movement, enhance business operations, and improve the overall aesthetics of the community.

Speaking on behalf of shop owners, Mr. Uche Okoro and Alhaji Wasiu Sanusi commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for prioritising infrastructure projects across the state, and appealed for timely completion as the road remains a major route for both residents and commercial users.
Sanusi said: “We are grateful for this project. It will bring great relief to everyone here. All we ask is that the construction be completed as quickly as possible.”
Responding, the commissioner disclosed that he had directed the contractor to accelerate work and make full use of the dry season window to ensure timely delivery.
He said: “The government is determined to ensure this project is delivered promptly and to the highest quality. With the rains subsiding, the contractor has been instructed to intensify efforts so that residents can begin to enjoy the benefits of this new road as soon as possible.”
The Project Manager, Mr. Jason Zhang, also assured that the road would be delivered according to specifications and within the agreed timeline, while commending the cooperation of both the residents and the state government.
The road, being constructed with concrete interlocking to address the area’s longstanding challenge of waterlogging, is currently progressing steadily.
