Nigeria’s Vice President, Kassim Shettima, led other members of the Nigerian delegation to the signing of the MoU between Nigeria and Ericsson, one of the leading global telecoms giant, on the  5G Innovation Lab at the firm’s Global Headquarters and Research and Development Lab in Kista, North of Stockholm, Sweden.

The Minister for Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, signed the MoU on behalf of the Federal Government, while Country Manager, Ericsson Nigeria, Peter Ogundele, signed on behalf of the telecom giant.

Industry experts say that the 5G is the fifth generation of cellular networks that is 100 times faster than 4G, thereby creating real time transactional and opportunities for people, businesses and political economies globally.
