Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a N15 reduction in petrol pump price per litre, thereby reducing the cost of petrol to between N875 and N905 per litre, depending on the place of purchase nationwide.
The latest price reduction of petrol price by the company is anticipated to further excite motorists and other fuel consumers in the country who, over the past months, had been groaning under the burden of spiking fuel prices.
The company has been playing a pivotal role in shaping the country’s energy landscape following the removal of fuel subsidy by the government about two years, which seriously disrupted the downstream market and raised the prices of goods and services to highest levels over the past decades.
Industry experts believe that the reduction of the fuel pump price will ease the financial burden on consumers and businesses that depend on fuel for operations, particularly amidst fiscal and other whirlwinds in the economy.
