President Muhammadu Buhari has on Thursday commissioned the new BUA three million metric tonnes capacity line 4 cement plant in Sokoto.
Shortly after the commissioning of the line 4 plant, the President, who was accompanied by the Governor of Sokoto State, Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, was taken on a tour of the plant by the Chairman of the company, Alhaji AbdulSamad Rabi’u.
In his remarks, the BUA Chairman thanked the President for officially coming to commission the multi-billion Naira plant.
The industrialist explained that 95% of the materials that would be used in production at the plant will be locally sourced.
Some other dignitaries that attended the commissioning ceremony include the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’adu Abubakar; the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi; and the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele.
