The Pension Transitional Arrangement of Directorate (PTAD) on Wednesday disclosed that the Bank of Agriculture (BoA), had transferred 831 pensioners of the “Defunct Nigerian Agricultural Cooperative Bank (NACB)” to it for management.
The Executive Secretary of the directorate, Dr. Chioma Ejikeme, gave this hint during the verification of the BoA pensioners in Abuja.
While commending the BoA for taking care of the pensioners and promised to continue from where they stopped, the pension management expert said that the verification for the Northern zone was taking place simultaneously in Abuja and Kano and would end next month.
In her remarks, the bank’s Head of Human Resources, Mrs. Tsukunda Yakubu, dislcosed that the North had over 500 pensioners, with verified 433 pensioners in Abuja, Kano while the verification was ongoing.
She commended the Federal Government for always taking care of the pensioners.
Also, one of the pensioners, Mr. Salihu Momoh, commended the Executive Secretary for the efforts of the directorate aimed at ensuring efficient management of the pensioners’ accounts, adding that “women are compassionate leaders and mothers.”
