Airtel Nigeria Appoints Efeurhobo As Chief Commercial Officer

Airtel Nigeria, one of the leading telecom operators in the country, on Tuesday announced the appointment of Mr. Godfrey Efeurhobo, its current Home Broadband Director, as the Chief Commercial Officer.

The telecom operator stated:“Efeurhobo, whose appointment takes effect on the 18th of October, will report to the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director as a member of the Executive Council and will be responsible for Airtel Nigeria’s commercial team comprising of regional operations’ teams, central sales and distribution, retail, customer service, brand and marketing.”

Airtel expressed its optimism that Efeurhobo would use his over 20 years experience in the telecom industry  to improve the company’s commercial activities.

Commenting on the new appointment, the company’s Managing Director, Surendran Chemmekonkil, said: “Airtel will continue to empower exceptional local talents in line with our corporate philosophy of recognizing and rewarding high performers.

Before his elevation, the new CCO has worked in Airtel for 16 years. He held senior roles, including Chief Sales and Distribution Officer, Regional Operations Director South Region, Director Commercial Strategy and Planning, Director Programmes and Strategy, among others.
