FAAN Begins Technology Upgrade In Lagos, Abuja Airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has commenced the installation of Check-In and Screening equipment in Abuja and Lagos airports as part of its efforts to improve the functionality of the facilities and make travelling easier for air travelers.

The agency, in a statement by its General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Henrietta Yakubu, explained that the move was initiated by the management to address recent challenges in airport operations and facilitation management systems at both airports.

Specifically, the General Manager stated that 15 security screening machines would be deployed to the General Aviation Terminal and Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

She expressed the FAAN management’s appeal to all stakeholders to please bear with the agency while the installation of the equipment/machines is ongoing, assuring speedy completion of the project.
