Ogun State Government has allocated N987.185 million for palliative support for public servants between April and December 2026, including N327.31 million earmarked for the fourth quarter of this year.

The state’s Head of Service, Alhaji Olanrewaju Saka, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, indicated that the sustained intervention reflected the administration’s commitment to workers’ welfare and its efforts to cushion the effects of prevailing economic challenges.

The latest allocation of N327,310,000 covers October to December 2026, following N330,630,000 allocated for April to June and N329,245,000 for July to September, bringing the total provision for the three quarters to N987,185,000.

According to him, the sustained support for public workers in the state underscores the government’s determination to sustain support for public servants amid economic pressures, particularly the rising cost of transportation and other essential expenses.

Saka further clarified that the intervention also highlighted the administration’s recognition of the importance of workers’ welfare to productivity, effective public service delivery and the implementation of its development agenda.

He stated that by extending the palliative support to December this year, the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun had been maintaining a welfare measure designed to ease the financial burden on workers while ensuring that the public service continues to deliver essential services to residents across the state.
