Investment researchers at Bancorp Securities Limited, a leading investment research and stockbroking advisory services firm, have projected that trading on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) will maintain a cautious positive trend amid strong liquidity and growing investor confidence in the market.
The experts, in the firm’s ‘Weekly Stock Recommendation for May 11 to May 15, 2026’ advisory note circulated to our correspondent on Monday, however, predicted that profit-taking in some blue-chip stocks may keep investor sentiment mixed during the trading sessions this week.
The analysts forecasted: “We expect the local bourse to maintain a cautious positive tone, as strong liquidity and improving participation continue to support market activity. However, profit-taking in select large-cap stocks may keep sentiment mixed, with investors likely favouring Industrial Goods, Consumer Goods, and fundamentally sound Banking names.”
On the nation’s business landscape last week, the experts recalled that Nigeria’s business environment recorded a modest improvement during the week as private sector sentiment remained cautiously positive, despite persistent structural and macroeconomic pressures.
