Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced the deferment of the implementation of recently revised fees for its services to businesses and ancillary entities in the country to October 1 this year.

In a public notice issued at the weekend, the commission stated the decision to shift the revised fee implementation timeline was taken to enable it to prioritize full stabilization of its new Company Registration Portal before mid-September.

The latest announcement was made after it had already postponed the initial deadline of August 1, following technical hitches on the upgraded portal to take effect from September 1 this year

According to the public notice, the latest extension of the revised fee implementation is aimed at enabling the commission to deliver optimum value to customers and stakeholders while ensuring a seamless transition into the new regime of services.

The CAC further stated that the deferment demonstrated its strong determination to provide efficient and customer-centric services that meet global standards.

The Commission thanked its customers and stakeholders for their patience, understanding, and cooperation during what it described as a critical phase of transformation, and reaffirmed its commitment to building a robust registry that would enhance the nation’s ease of doing business reforms.
