We’ve Generated N3trn Through TSA So Far – Adeosun

The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, has stated that total revenue collections through the Treasury Single Account (TSA) to Federal Government’s coffers stands at over N3 trillion since the commencement TSA policy.

Adeosun, in a document prepared to highlight the programmes of her ministry over the past two years, stated that the resolve of the Federal Government that all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) comply with the requirements of the policy on remittances accounted for the success.

According to her, the TSA is an initiative specifically designed to ensure efficient and transparent management of Federal Government’s revenue collections and also intended to promote more prudent utilization of earned resources.

Adeosun enthused: “The Federal Government has so far mopped up over N3 trillion as revenue accruals since the policy of TSA commenced.”

The minister also expatiated the increasing benefits of the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) project, which commenced with seven MDAs, to public finance management over the past years, saying that plans are ongoing to capture more MDAs into the IPPIS.

She stated: “It has the objective of ensuring centralised payment of salaries; aiding of manpower planning and budgeting as well as reducing financial wastages.

“At present, capturing of more agencies on the IPPIS platform is ongoing and we are working tirelessly to ensure that all institutions of government are captured under IPPIS”, the minister added.
