64th Independence Anniversary: FG Restates Commitment To Education Sector

The Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, has restated Federal Government’s commitment to transforming the education sector as Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence Anniversary today.

Noting that significant strides have been made in addressing the pressing issues facing the nation’s education system, the minister stressed that the current administration remained fully dedicated to improving education accessibility and quality.

According to him, the ministry in furtherance of its statutory roles is committed to tackling challenges in the sector, including collaborating with security agencies to crack down on certificate forgery.

He said: “We are developing guidelines for inclusive education, upgrading research facilities, and sponsoring innovation programs through DOTS initiative.

“Our goal is to ensure that schools receive the innovative ideas, training, and support needed to enhance their standards, making education more affordable and accessible to all Nigerians”,  Mamman added.

As the nation continues to move forward, the minister assured that education would remain a top priority for fostering national development, adding that “our mission is to use education as a tool to empower every Nigerian citizen to reach their full potential.”

He urged all Nigerians to collaboratively work and build a prosperous future for the country’s education sector.
