NDIC To Pay Depositors Of Defunct Peak Merchant Bank

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), has alerted depositors and ex-staff (deposits) of defunct Peak Merchant Bank of its preparations to pay their first liquidation dividend.

A press statement signed by the corporation’s Director, Communication and Public Affairs, Bashir Nuhu, indicated all affected depositors of the bank and former employees with deposits in the bank are to participate in a verification exercise scheduled to kick off today, September 18, 2023.

The Director clarified that the verification exercise would enable depositors of the defunct bank to cross-check and ascertain their account information as well as balances with the bank as at the time of its closure.

To ensure the success of the exercise, Nuhu enjoined all eligible stakeholders of the defunct bank to visit any NDIC offices or visit its website for verification of their claims commencing from September 18 to October 16, 2023.

He further informed the depositors that the duly completed verification forms can also be sent to the corporation’s email address.
